Oh Monday-Monday.... I kinda backed the black car into the back/side of the red car.......why????  Oh why????sorta overcast here. I overslept and that always makes for a weary day. Laundry, cleaning...oh so much to do and all I want to do is paint.  So, what should I do??????

Reformation Sunday

It's wear RED day today to church. We have several kids who have finished Catechism and will be recognized today. Then tonight is Trunk R Treat for the kids of the community. It was fun last year. I think I have my costume picked out.  What are you doing for Halloween this year?  Have a wonderful day...noah

Tis a Sat'day

My daughter and I went shopping today for some badly needed crafting/painting supplies. Of course I had to have my Starbucks Doubleshot Moca...

It's a beautiful day in South Carolina. The leaves are finally beginning to get brilliant in their color and falling down. I have a lot of tall popular trees in my woods and I love laying on my little deck I built in the woods and watch them fall.

I am anxious to get on to my project of painting weird teapots on my old china cabinet. It's not a fancy cabinet, just one of the unfinished kind that my uncle bought for my mother years ago. Plain straight lines. I'm going to paint tea pots on it and try to keep it dark with copper's browns, etc.  It has a heavy coat of lacquer on it, and rather than doing what I should do and take it all off with paint remover, I'm doing some sanding and see where it gets me....probably mad at myself...but...hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the day...noah

The lady I fixed the towels for loved them. That's all that matters.  I do not think I will tackle towels again. Have any of you ever embroidered on towels?

The towels are done...yeahhh

I hate trying to embroidery on terri cloth. It's just not meant to be. I had to sew a soft piece of stretch material under the lettering to cover up my knots, etc.  I "guess" I should have done the work on cloth and sewed the cloth onto the towels...oh well,,,let me know what you think?

I have finished the towels...YES!  Not a very neat job, but then hand embroidery on terri cloth never is, and in my opinion not worth it. But, I will make a picture of them to add to my many quests....

Today I am embroidering on towels. Not an easy job due to the texture of the things.  This is for a friend to give as a gift at a bridal shower for a couple that have a little dog that they both hold dear. Thus the ends of the towels will say:
Pretty Girl, as that is the dogs name.

What I really need and want is a sewing machine that will do embroidery. "Hey, Santa, you hear me?"

I have started so many project around the house and none are finished, so I have to start concentrating on finishing something before I start something else.

I'm ripping up old carpet to put down tiles in my dining room, which we never use, to make it into a "Woman Cave" for me and my daughter. I will have my computer, my sewing machine, my paints and crafting things, a small tv with DVD player, and probably the pet rabbit in her big cage. That's about all I will have room for except an old vintage chair that I have covered(and lacks a bit to finish it up)...see what I'm saying?  I have to get organized! HELP!!!

Can't believe it's October already. It seems seems like we were just having Christmas. Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet?  Wish I had.

I have listed several of my paintings and dolls I create for others. I have played with this blog all day and now must get busy. I am not satisfied with my overall look yet, but will work on it. Looking forward to connecting with others.
